Hey hey, it's my 2nd Cake Day! Had grandiose plans for this one but, alas, little to no cooperation from the cupcake or whipped cream. The Samuel Smith's Chocolate Stout, on the other hand, was typically outstanding.

Figured this was worth a try seeing as how I've added a few pounds this year. It's a darn shame that all the flavorful bits in beer are apparently the one's that aren't good for keeping trim. Yuengling, 2.6g carbs, 95 cals., 4.2%, pleasant beer coloration.

As it's still almost-triple-digit temps here in Florida I'm sticking with the light, summery beers in lieu of the autumnal alternatives: Shipyard Blood Orange. Not sweet, not sour, perfect. 5.1%

Samuel Smith's never dissappoints, and this Raspberry Ale is no exception. Not sweet, not sour, just the right amount of raspberry flavor on the back of the tongue. ABV not listed. 🤷‍♂️

After the fiasco with that "tropical" Oberon a year? ago was leery of this 1/4 of a variety pack. I felt the mango texture - but not flavor - and a lot of habanero: end result is like a really bad Bloody Mary. Bell's Brewery, 5.8%, nasty caca.

For as popular as Corona seems to be, all by itself it's not to my liking. Add some lime, on the other hand, & it morphs into acceptable. Not great, not even good, just ok. 🤷‍♂️

If asked what my personal favorite beverage in the whole wide world - thusfar - is there is no hesitation in saying this: Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout, N. Yorks, Angleland, 5%.

In contrast to yesterday's foulness the Oberon variety pack has this Cherry one that is quite good: not sour, not sweet, pleasantly in the background, very drinkable! Also 5.8%, Comstock, Mich. Cherry Kisses ya'll 😘
