Paintings produced by Santiago Yahuarcani, depicting atrocities in the Putumayo during the Amazon rubber boom. Santiago is a descendent of the Bora and Witoto populations, who suffered the Putumayo genocide between 1870-1912. These natives continued to be exploited for profit into the 1950s.
