This is the body of Virgina Rappe, photographed in the morgue to show the bruising on her body. The name may not be familiar but Virgina was at the heart of one of the biggest scandels of the 1920s, Roscoe 'Fatty' Arbuckle was arrested and tried 3 times over her death, finally being aquitted.
