Devoted elderly couple David and Susan Jeffcock, married for 52 years, leapt to their deaths from cliffs at Whitby Abbey in Yorkshire in a suicide pact after writing of their intentions to their solicitor. David had bone cancer and Susan did not want to be parted from him.
